COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF KAUFMAN COUNTY, TEXAS

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Regular MEETING OF THE ABOVE NAMED COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL BE HELD ON THE 14th DAY OF August, 2006 , AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING ROOM AT THE KAUFMAN COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING, 100 NORTH WASHINGTON, KAUFMAN, TEXAS, AT WHICH TIME THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION, TO WIT:



- Approval of minutes of meeting on July 31, 2006.
- Routine Correspondence
- Executive Session - Pursuant to Section 551.074 (a)(1) of the local Government Code.
Re: Personnel Matters.
- Larry Ewing - To discuss and consider extending the County Wide Burn Ban.
- Dempsey Johnson - The legality of the road connecting Briarwood Drive with the development known as The Ranch at Cedar Creek which development is now in the city of Mabank. (Briarwood Drive runs in front of the Country Club Shores Addition at Cedar Creek Country Club.)
- Bill Wynn (Elmo WSC) - Construction bid opening, project funded by TCDP- County Sponsored Grant.
- To discuss and consider approving a variance request for Lots 31 and 31A in the Ingram Ranch Estates, 8020 CR 272, Terrell, Texas.
- To discuss and consider approving the purchase of Parcel 3 of the FM 598 Project.
- To discuss and consider passing a Resolution regarding new alignment for SH 34.
- To discuss and consider approving bond of Larry Ewing, Kaufman County Fire Marshal.
- To discuss and consider approving Dana Curry to replace Marty Daum as Commissioner to Kaufman County Emergency Services District #6.
- To discuss and consider advertising for bids to replace broken glass panels in the Annex Building.
- To discuss and consider opening/awarding Bid 06-06 Annual Contract for Electrical Services.
- To discuss and consider awarding Bid 06-04 for RAP Material for all precincts.
- To discuss and consider leasing a dump truck for Kaufman County Precinct 3.
- To discuss and consider taking action on the Taking Impact Assessment Regarding Proposed Governmental Action: Kaufman County Road Map Project, conducted Pursuant to Chapter 258 of the Texas Transportation Code.
- To discuss and consider approving a Resolution Declaring County Intent to Clarify the Existence of a Public Interest in Certain County Roads, Pursuant to Chapter 258 of the Texas Transportation Code.
- To discuss and consider appointing the Early Voting Election Judges and Alternate Judges for all elections through June, 2007.
- To discuss and consider establishing the Commissioners’ Courtroom at the Kaufman County Courthouse Annex as the central counting station for all elections through June, 2007.
- To discuss and consider appointing Teressa Floyd as the presiding judge of the central counting station for all elections through June, 2007.
- To discuss and consider appointing P. J. Gibson as the central counting station manager for all elections through June, 2007.
- To discuss and consider appointing George York as the tabulation supervisor of the central counting station for all elections through June, 2007.

- To discuss and consider approving request for EMBARQ to install buried communications cable along the right-of-way of CR 4023 to Timber Line Road and turning South upon and along the right-of-way of Turner Line Road and boring under Turner Line Road, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider approving request for EMBARQ to install buried communications cable under (across) the right-of-way of and upon and along the right of way of CR 4045, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider approving request for EMBARQ to install a buried communications drop under (across) the right-or-way of CR 4056, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider approving request for EMBARQ to install buried communications drop upon and along the right-of-way of CR 4060, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider approving request for Farmers Electric Cooperative request to construct electrical power lines along and across CR 233.
