NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

COMMISSIONERS’ COURT OF KAUFMAN COUNTY, TEXAS

             NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Regular MEETING OF THE ABOVE NAMED COMMISSIONERS’ COURT WILL BE HELD ON THE 20th DAY OF August , 2007 ,

AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING ROOM AT THE KAUFMAN COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING, 100 NORTH WASHINGTON, KAUFMAN, TEXAS, AT WHICH TIME THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION, TO WIT:

-          Approval of minutes of meeting on August 13, 2007.

-          Routine Correspondence

-          Richard Murphy         -          To present the Tax Assessor/Collector’s monthly report for July, 2007.

-          Johnny Countryman   -          To present the Treasurer’s monthly report for July, 2007.

-          To discuss and consider renewing Annual Contract for Electrical Services.

-          To discuss and consider awarding bid # 07-13, Annual Contract for Office Supplies.

-          To discuss and consider opening bids for the purchase of a Chip Spreader for the Kaufman County, Pct. 2 and award bid for same.

-          To discuss and consider opening bids for the purchase of a Pickup truck for Kaufman County Pct. 1 and award bid for same.

-          To discuss and consider opening bids for the purchase of a Tractor for Kaufman County Pct. 3 and award bid for same

-          To discuss and consider accepting the 2007 Appraisal Roll as the 2007 Tax Roll..

-          To discuss Tax Rate for the 2007-2008 Budget and take record vote.

-          To discuss and consider setting Public Hearing dates on Proposed Tax Rate.

            (September 4 @ 10:00 A.M. and Sept 10 @ 10:00 A.M.)

-          To discuss and consider setting Public Hearing date on proposed budget for fiscal year 2007-2008.

            (September 17 @ 10:00 A.M.).

-          To consider approval of line-item transfers.

-          Approval of claims for payment.

-          Remarks from visitors.

-          Motion to Adjourn Regular Meeting.
