NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

COMMISSIONERS’ COURT OF KAUFMAN COUNTY, TEXAS

             NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Regular MEETING OF THE ABOVE NAMED COMMISSIONERS’ COURT WILL BE HELD ON THE 4th DAY OF September , 2007 ,

AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING ROOM AT THE KAUFMAN COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING, 100 NORTH WASHINGTON, KAUFMAN, TEXAS, AT WHICH TIME THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION, TO WIT:

-          Approval of minutes of meeting on August 27, 2007.

-          Routine Correspondence

-          10:00 A.M. -  Motion to exit regular meeting and enter into Public Hearing.

-          Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Rate for FY 2007-2008.

-          Motion to exit Public Hearing and enter back into Regular Meeting.

-          10:00 A.M. - Motion to exit Regular Meeting and enter into Public Hearing.

-          Public Hearing on Petition Requesting creation of Wolf Creek Fresh Water Supply District of Kaufman County.

-          Motion to exit Public Hearing and enter back into Regular Meeting.

-          To discuss and consider adoption of Order Upon Hearing and Granting Petition requesting the creation of Wolf Creek Fresh Water Supply District of Kaufman County and appointing Temporary Supervisors.

-          Larry Ewing - To discuss and consider approving Countywide burn ban.

-          Dick Murphy - To discuss and consider approving Taxpayer request for waiver of penalties and interest, subject to review of legality by the Tax Law Firm.

-          Jack Sebastian - To discuss and consider the lease purchase of a John Deere Motor Grader for Precinct 1 through the HGAC Cooperative Program.

-          To discuss and consider approving a three (3%) percent increase in cost of living benefits to Kaufman County Retirees effective October 1, 2007.

-          To discuss and consider accepting the recommendation of The Board of the Kaufman County Levee Improvement District No. 1 that Adam Sinclair replace Don Burt on the board effective November 1, 2007.

-          To discuss and consider entering into an Interlocal Agreement with Kaufman County Fresh Water Supply District 1-C.

-          To discuss and consider consolidating Voting Locations for the November 6, 2007 Elections.

-          To discuss and consider approving Early Voting Locations for the November 6, 2007 Elections.

-          To discuss and consider road repair for the City of Rosser not to exceed $5,600.

-          To discuss and consider renewing membership and paying dues with the Bluebonnet Resource Conservation & Development Inc.

-          To discuss and consider entering into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Crandall for road repair.

-          To consider approval of line-item transfers.

-          Approval of claims for payment.

-          Remarks from visitors.

-          Motion to Adjourn Regular Meeting.
