NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Regular MEETING OF THE ABOVE NAMED COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL BE HELD ON THE 2ND DAY OF oCTOBERber, 2006 , AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING ROOM AT THE KAUFMAN COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING, 100 NORTH WASHINGTON, KAUFMAN, TEXAS, AT WHICH TIME THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION, TO WIT:

- Larry Ewing - To discuss and consider the status of a County Wide Burn Ban.
- LaReta Williams - To present Kaufman County Children’s Shelter Director’s Report for July & August 2006.
- Johnny Countryman - To present Treasurers Monthly Report for August 2006.
- To discuss and consider advertising for bids on 5(five) 2007 SUV’s for the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Units.
- To discuss and consider declaring Guardian Security as a sole source vendor for Security at the Old Jail.
- To discuss and consider the lease purchase of a pickup for the Fire Marshal.
- To discuss and consider reclaiming Paige Lane in Scurry with oil, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider approving the extension of Kaufman County’s contract with Employee Support Systems Company of Texas for the fiscal year ending 9/30/07.
- To discuss and consider approving the use of the County property behind the Veterans Memorial Park and the County Library to house The Traveling Wall Foundation & American Veterans Traveling Tribute for one week during 2007 and 2008.
- To discuss and consider approving request for EMBARQ to install buried communications cable upon (across) the right of way of and upon and along the right of way of CR 4003, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider acknowledging the filing of the Dallas Crown Inc. Slaughter Report for the week ending 9-21-06.
