NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

COMMISSIONERS’ COURT OF KAUFMAN COUNTY, TEXAS

             NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Regular MEETING OF THE ABOVE NAMED COMMISSIONERS’ COURT WILL BE HELD ON THE 8th DAY OF October , 2007 ,

AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING ROOM AT THE KAUFMAN COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING, 100 NORTH WASHINGTON, KAUFMAN, TEXAS, AT WHICH TIME THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION, TO WIT:

-          Approval of minutes of meeting on October 1, 2007.

-          Routine Correspondence

-          LaReta Williams        -          To present Kaufman County Children’s Shelter Director’s Report for June 2007, July 2007, and August 2007. 

-          Richard Murphy         -          To present the Tax Assessor/ Collector’s monthly report for August, 2007.

-          To discuss and consider proclaiming Tuesday, October 16, 2007 as Othel Creagor Day in Kaufman County.

-To discuss and consider authorizing the County Judge to sign a contract for collecting Ad Valorem Taxes levied by Kaufman County Municipal Utilities District No. 2.

-To discuss and consider reestablishing Pointview Baptist Church at 110 Hwy. 3039 in Combine as a Polling Place for the November 6, 2007 election at the request of the Crandall ISD.

-          To discuss and consider approving deputation of Boyd Gordon for the Kaufman County Constable Pct 2.

-          To discuss and consider approval of the preliminary plat for Hiram Road Commercial Park in Kaufman County Precinct 1.

-To discuss and consider approving Interlocal Agreement with the City of Mabank for road maintenance, Kaufman County Precinct 4.

-          To discuss and consider approving request for EMBARQ to install buried communications drop wire along (upon) and across (under) the right of way of CR 4042 in Kaufman County Pct 4.

-          To consider approval of line-item transfers. 

-          Approval of claims for payment.                                              

-          Remarks from visitors. 

-          Motion to Adjourn Regular Meeting.
