NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A Regular MEETING OF THE ABOVE NAMED COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL BE HELD ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2006 , AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING ROOM AT THE KAUFMAN COUNTY ANNEX BUILDING, 100 NORTH WASHINGTON, KAUFMAN, TEXAS, AT WHICH TIME THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION, TO WIT:

Approval of minutes of meeting on October 9, 2006.

- Marilyn May - Announcement & Presentation of certificates to the court on Environmental Vision Award for support & partnership in the Paper/Cardboard Recycling Program.
- Larry Ewing - To discuss and consider the status of a countywide burn ban.
- To discuss and consider entering into a contract with Dentrust Dental International, Inc. for Inmate Dental Services for the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office.
- To discuss and consider acknowledging, opening, and awarding RFP #07-06, Legal services in support of the establishment of a Public Defender’s Office.
- To discuss and consider advertising for bid for an annual contract for various road materials for all Pcts.
- To discuss and consider rejecting bid #06-07, Concrete for Kemp Convenience Station, and re-bidding.
- To discuss and consider granting an easement to Becker-Jiba Water Supply Corporation for water lines along Plainview Drive for Pct. 4 Eco Station.
- To discuss and consider accepting water services from Becker-Jiba water services Supply Corporation for Precinct 4 Eco Station.
- To discuss and consider requesting that Texas Department of Transportation install county road markers along all state maintained roads in Kaufman County.
- To discuss and consider approving the Deputation of Lucy Garza for the Kaufman County Tax Assessor/ Collector’s office.
- To discuss and consider approving request from EMBARQ to install buried communications drop upon the right of way of CR 4015 by boring under CR 4012, Kaufman County Precinct 4.
- To discuss and consider approving request from EMBARQ to install buried communications cable and drop along and (across) the right of way of Plain View Dr., Kaufman, County Pct. 4
- To discuss and consider acknowledging the filing of the Dallas Crown Inc. Slaughter report for the week ending September 28, 2006.
- To consider approval of line-item transfers.
- Approval of claims for payment.
- Remarks from visitors.
