Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Now Available To Kaufman County Residents

Kaufman County residents are now eligible to receive no-cost in-home monoclonal antibody (MAB) therapy if they have contracted COVID-19, thanks to efforts by Dr. Dirk Perritt, the Rockwall County Local Health Agent. Dr. Perritt, who oversees the Monoclonal Antibody Infusion sites in Rockwall and Ellis Counties, reached an agreement with the State of Texas to also provide this treatment to the citizens of Kaufman County.

“We are very appreciative of Rockwall County for including Kaufman County residents in this opportunity,” said Steve Howie, Kaufman County Emergency Management Coordinator. “This is a great resource for our residents who have unfortunately contracted the virus and we sincerely thank Rockwall County for including us.”

REGENERON monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapy has been shown to significantly reduce the need for hospitalization and the duration of symptoms in patients diagnosed with COVID-19. MDLab has partnered with the Texas Department of State Health Services to create mAb Treatment Centers in Rockwall County, Ellis County, and now Kaufman County.
