Fees Waived For Select Dogs at Pet Adoption Center Thru End of May!

Ready to add a new pet to your family? All dogs over six months old and over 30 pounds are FREE to adopt at the Kaufman County Pet Adoption Center and we desperately need your support. Overcapacity is a nationwide issue right now with medium to large dogs coming to shelters in abundance.

The new Kaufman County Pet Adoption Center is operated by the Humane Society of North Texas and was opened in April 2022. The Center is at capacity, so we need your help. If you would like to adopt, there are many dogs from which to choose right now, TODAY!

The adoption fee will be waived thanks to the financial support from HSNT donors, and you will take home a pet that has been spayed or neutered, given age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. All they need now is YOU! If you are not able to adopt at this time, please consider fostering. Fostering allows you to become familiar with an animal before making that long-term commitment, and it gives the pet a chance to get lots of love while they wait for their forever family.

Please go to the Human Society of North Texas website at and click on the Kaufman County tab at the bottom of the home page to see the adorable pets available now for adoption. You may visit the Pet Adoption Center at 1904 US Highway 175 in Kaufman, or you may call 469-376-4120 and leave a message.

Thank you in advance for helping us get these pets a new home.
