September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Kaufman County Judge Hal Richards presented a proclamation to Bob Williams, a 12-year survivor of Prostate Cancer, with a proclamation declaring September 2022 as National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in Kaufman County during the regular Commissioners’ Court meeting on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month is observed every year in September by health experts, health advocates, and the public to raise awareness about prostate health and prostate cancer. This cancer mainly affects men over the age of 50. Every year more than 174,600 men are diagnosed and about 31,600 succumb to the disease.
