Steel Going Up on Pet Adoption Center

After watching earth move at the site of the new Pet Adoption Center, a new visual sign of progress is happening. Steel columns are now going vertical on the project and each day brings with it much anticipation for the 2022 completion. The two projects totaling $46.2 million, the Pet Adoption Center and the Kaufman County Justice Center, were approved in a 2019 Bond Election by Kaufman County residents. A special thanks goes out to all those who voted for providing these amazing facilities that will streamline the courts system and improve the way we care for animals. Watch here for regular updates about the progress of construction. The new facilities are located adjacent to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office at 1900 E. US Hwy. 175.
