Kaufman County has received numerous requests for mail ballots and is working to respond to all requests.

 

      ELIMINATION OF STRAIGHT-PARTY VOTING

House Bill 25, passed during the 85th Legislative Session, eliminated straight party voting effective September 1, 2020.

If you wish to vote for all of the candidates affiliated with one party, you should select each candidate one at a time on your ballot.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HAND DELIVERY OF  MAIL BALLOTS

 For the November 3, 2020 General Election , the hand delivery period has been extended.  You may deliver your own personal ballot, not the ballot for another individual to the Elections Department at 100 N Washington Kaufman, TX 75142 during regular business hours anytime after you receive and mark your ballot.  You will be asked to sign a roster to record the acceptance of your ballot and you will be asked to present an acceptable form of Photo ID.  If you do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain an acceptable form of Photo ID you can execute a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and provide another form of identification.

     

    NOTE TO VOTERS IN NEED OF CURBSIDE VOTING:

    CURBSIDE IS FOR VOTERS WHO ARE PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO ENTER THE POLLING PLACE (HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF COVID  WE RECOMMEND  THE CURBSIDE OPTION)***CURBSIDE VOTING IS AVAILABLE AT ALL LOCATIONS. YOU CAN SEND SOMEONE INTO THE POLLING LOCATION TO LET A POLL WORKER KNOW YOU NEED CURBSIDE.   IF YOU NEED CURBSIDE ASSISTANCE  AND DO NOT HAVE ANYONE  TO SEND INTO THE POLLING PLACE PLEASE CALL: 469-376-4686, 469-376-4578,  469-376-4576 OR 469-376-4595.

    • POLLWORKER TRIANING  Kaufman County Elections will be scheduling training classes for the November 3, 2020 election cycle.  Due to to the current Covid 19 restrictions these classes will be small classes.  We will be calling to schedule these classes.
