You can book an event by contacting us via email or phone. We’ll need your basic information so we can send you a contract and confirm your booking. You can complete the process in person at our Facilities Office, or we can handle everything conveniently through email.

Kaufman County FairgroundsYes! We offer 20 eight-foot tables and 200 chairs for your event. To make setup easy, we also provide dollies for moving tables and chairs, so you can arrange your space with minimal effort.

Kaufman County Fairgrounds
• All deposits for the Kaufman County Fairgrounds Rental are non-refundable.
• Smoking is prohibited in all areas of climate-controlled buildings.
• The serving, consumption, possession, storage, and/or sale of alcoholic beverages must be in compliance with the state and local laws, including the Texas Alcoholic and Beverage Commission (TABC). It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure compliance within these regulations.
• Multi-Day Event Maintenance: In the event that the facility, including show barn, is reserved for multiple days, the Applicant is required to maintain cleanliness throughout the duration of the event. i.e. cleaning common areas and restrooms, excess waste or debris must be removed from the premises daily to maintain a clean and safe environment for all event participants. If barn is in use
- The Service Provider shall perform daily cleaning tasks, including but not limited to removing waste from animal stalls, sweeping aisles, and ensuring that all trash bins are emptied regularly.
• Following the use of the premises, all areas are to be left clean and left in the way that they were found. All the cabinets and countertops in the kitchen must be cleaned. All restrooms must be cleaned. All trash should be taken out, and the building should be vacated by the given time that is noted in the contract. In the event that the persons and/or organization renting the building do not completely perform such functions, the cleaning fee will be kept in full. If your event fee was waived for any reason, Kaufman County will send your organization an invoice for the cleaning required. We will be unable to reserve an event for your organization until this invoice is paid in full.
• The use of nails, thumbtacks, staples, confetti or glue for decorations is not allowed. Masking tape and scotch tape are allowed. Any decorations which will be hung from the ceiling must be pre-approved by the Fair Manager.
• The person signing the rental agreement shall be responsible for any damage to the building or property of the Kaufman County Fairgrounds. In the event of damages, the incidental damage fee will be kept in full.
• Applicants must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Youth functions, defined as people eighteen (18) years of age or younger, must have at least one (1) adult chaperon for each ten
(10) guests. Chaperons must be present through the entire duration of the function/event, set up and clear up time included in the rental agreement.
• Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve the facilities, the rental application must be accompanied by the appropriate deposit. The security deposit will be forfeited if the applicant cancels, does not show up, or does not comply with the Kaufman County Fairgrounds rules and regulations.
• Rental fees are due no later than two weeks prior to the scheduled rental.
• The Kaufman County Fairgrounds has the right to refuse service or increase fees of deposit based on applicants past rental history.
• All changes and additions to the rental agreement must be made seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled functions without exceptions.
• Requested hours for use must include the time it takes to set up, hold the function/event and clean up. Applicants are solely liable for the building and its equipment at all times during the reserved time. All property missing during this time will be charged against the reserving party. Applicant must be present during the function/event.
• Applicants renting the facility are limited to the hours specified on their application.
• If the facility is clean and no damage done, the deposit will be refunded approximately ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days following the function/event.
• Applicant user shall comply with the laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations of the United States, the State of Texas, and Lessor. Applicant user shall obtain and pay for all required permits and licenses. Applicant user shall not permit or suffer the commission of a law, statute, ordinance or regulation.
• That any and all such events taking place on the premises of the Kaufman County Fairgrounds in which the consumption or serving alcohol is a part shall have a licensed peace officer on duty for the corresponding hours of said event. Said peace officer shall be a current officer of the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office. The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office will schedule an officer to be in attendance for all hours of the scheduled event.
• All tables and chairs that are in the event center, must not leave the building and need to be stacked up on the rolling racks, which should be included in the cleaning process.
• Sub-leasing the property of the Kaufman County Fairgrounds is prohibited. The person renting the facilities should be the same person that signed the rental agreement.
• Any possession of firearms or legally defined weapons of any sort is prohibited without previous permission by Kaufman County Fairgrounds.
• All illegally controlled substances are prohibited on the property of the Kaufman County Fairgrounds.
• Cattle Stalls: All bedding must consist of pellets only.
• Swine (Concrete Area): Bedding must consist of wood chips only.
• Hay: Hay is permitted for feeding purposes only and should not be used as bedding.
•In the event of one of the barns being rented, all trash needs to be picked up and taken out. The barn should be left in the manner in which it was before it was rented out, i.e. bedding, shavings, manure need to be cleaned out and pens returned to original setting.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to adjust your date or details. Keep in mind that deposits are non-refundable, so rescheduling does not guarantee a refund of your holding fee.

Kaufman County FairgroundsWe recommend booking 18 months in advance to give you plenty of time to choose vendors, select centerpieces, book photographers, and set up payment plans. While 18 months is ideal, we can book sooner if needed—just reach out and we’ll work with your timeline.

Kaufman County Fairgrounds
Yes, guests may bring their own alcoholic beverages, but you must comply with all alcohol regulations. A licensed peace officer from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is required to be on-site during your event if alcohol is present. Please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 972-932-9720 to schedule and pay for security. Failure to follow these rules will result in forfeiture of your full deposit.
